Direction Compass is a simple utility app that shows North, South, East, and West using your device’s built-in magnetometer. Hold your Android device flat and use it like a real compass. The app does not require Internet or GPS to function. It can display basic information about the magnetic field around your device to help you get accurate direction for outdoor activities such as travel, camping, hiking, and sailing.
Accuracy tip: If the compass seems inaccurate, check for nearby magnets or metal objects and move away from them.If the compass shows no signs of movement shake the phone or restart the device and reinstall the app for it to function. Keep your phone parallel to the ground or palm for best results.
Basic statement — Direction Compass does not require registration or collect personal information such as your name, email, phone number, contacts, or location.
No tracking — The app does not track your activity across other apps or websites and does not build user profiles.
No Internet required — Core features work fully offline. The app does not send data to our servers.
Sensor — The app reads the device’s Sensor to determine direction and magnetic field strength. Data from the sensor is processed locally and not stored or transmitted.
